Psychology Club

Math Club

An academic competition team. In tournaments, students answer a variety of challenging academic questions on history, literature, math, science, philosophy, art, music, psychology, currents, and popular culture.

Students are invited to the organization in their junior year, after second quarter grades are posted in their transcripts. 

College MAP (Mentoring for Access and Persistence) is a model of private sector mentoring to support access to education for underserved youth and to develop future generations of talent.

Amnesty International

A group of students who are charged with managing a wide range of events, activities, programs, policies, and initiatives around school. Some members are elected by the student body while others may be appointed by the elected officials to help with specific tasks or areas of interest.

The team focuses on skills of argumentation, persuasion, information, interpretation, and acting. Members of the team qualify to join the National Speech and Debate Association, the oldest high school honor organization in the country. Members help host tournaments and are involved in community service and achieve excellence in academic pursuits. This is not only a highly competitive team but also a team that supports its members and the greater school community.

The team competes in local and national Moot Court competitions, while learning oral and written argument skills. Moot court involves presenting mock appellate arguments before a judging panel. The issues generally involve current hot topics in front of the US Supreme Court. 

Students Simulate United Nations procedures. Participants role-play as United Nations delegates and engage in discussions, negotiations, and energetic debates.

The Seniors Helping Seniors Club is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting senior citizens in our community. Club members volunteer their time after school or during their free hours to assist with everyday chores. Our mission is to build meaningful connections between generations while making a positive impact through kindness, service, and respect.
