Welcome to Enrollment and Registration for Atlanta Public Schools. During normal operating hours, registration can be completed at the student's zoned school. To confirm your student's school attendance zone, view our APS School Zone Locator.
Important: Annual Update (K-12th Grade)
Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is in the process of updating student information and pre-registering students for the 2026-2027 school year. Starting March 9, 2026, APS is asking all parents to go into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and complete the Annual Student Update application. This application will allow parents to review all key information (including address, phone numbers, email addresses, guardians, emergency contacts, health conditions, etc.) and make any necessary changes. Please complete the Annual Update in Parent Portal by April 24, 2026, for your student to receive a schedule for the upcoming school year. By July 1, 2026, Parent Portal may restrict navigation to any other area until the Annual Update Application is completed.

Kindergarten Enrollment
Atlanta Public Schools families with children who will reach the age of 5 on or before September 1st are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the school year.
New Student Enrollment
New student enrollment should be completed whenever a student is entering Atlanta Public Schools for the first time or returning after being enrolled in another school outside of the APS district.
Student Transfers
Atlanta Public Schools allows families to transfer to an APS school using one of three transfer types: General Administrative Transfers, Children of APS Employees, Hardship Transfers.

How are school zones determined?
The official zone boundary for each elementary, middle, and high school is established by the Atlanta Board of Education.
